Jean Cree

British author. Born Jean Melville. She was a keen horse-woman who lived for many years in the New Forest. She wrote under her married name taken from her second husband. Appears to have only written the one book, a pony story, which was illustrated by fellow pony book author Joan Begbie It is a hard to find title and can be expensive.

Many thanks to the author's grand-son for the above biographical information.
